Song for Sarajevo

Words and music by Judy Collins (1994)

I created a video to go along with the beautifully mournful music that Judy Collins originally wrote to commemorate the plight of the children who suffered at the hands of war criminals during the Bosnian crisis in the 1990s.  Tragically, over 30 years later, it is the Ukrainian children who are now being made to suffer at the hands of Russian invaders.

Performing live with Skanda at the Latvian Independence Day commemoration on Nov 19 2022. Skanda is a folkloric singing ensemble under the direction of composer Janis Beloglāzovs
