Synopsis
24-year old Eshana Patel has every reason to be afraid. She is nearly killed while going to work one day. The Hangman promises to punish the person who hurt her, but frames another man in his place. With the town divided and the gallows raised, can Eshana speak up for her neighbour before more innocent blood is spilled?

THE HANGMAN / JOHN CAMPBELL ($800)
The titular villain of the story is an imposing Caucasian man 50-70 years old. We are looking for an actor who is unusually tall and/or willing to wear painter's stilts (or platform shoes) to exaggerate his height. The Hangman is a malevolent authoritarian who claims to represent law and order but who secretly harbours more sinister motivations. He exploits his position of authority to incite chaos.
ESHANA PATEL ($1100)
Eshana is a fit and attractive woman in her 20s. She is an active, outgoing and kind person whose life is upended by a traumatic life-altering assault. She is forced to confront her own fear and resentment after the Hangman exploits her misfortune to incite conflict in the town. We are accepting applicants from all ethnicities and are prepared to modify the character description accordingly.
RAKSHA PATEL ($200)
Raksha is a Middle-aged woman (40-60 years old) and the mother of our lead protagonist. She is a caring person with conservative leaning values, a no-nonsense attitude and isn't afraid of expressing her opinions. She has reluctantly agreed to drive her daughter back to work for the first time following her assault but is understandably concerned about her daughter’s safety. We are accepting applicants from all ethnicities and are prepared to modify the character description accordingly.
LATIF ATALLAH ($720)
Latif is a fit and active Muslim man in his 20s. He wears a Kufi as an expression of his faith but has an otherwise casual urban dress style. He is a mild-mannered and gentle person who is forced to physically defend himself when he is assaulted in the street. The role requires a BIPOC stunt actor as it involves a requisite level of physicality and skill (e.g., brief fight and chase sequence) and minimal dialog. Applicants must be able demonstrate required skills prior to arriving on set.
WYATT CAMPBELL ($680)
Wyatt Campbell is a xenophobic Caucasian male in his 20-30s. He is a fit and mean-spirited thug who is recruited as a member of the Hangman’s security detail. He is self-righteous, ill-tempered and prone to committing random acts of aggression. The role requires a stunt actor as it involves a requisite level of physicality and skill (e.g., brief fight and chase sequence) and no dialog. Height and weight should be roughly matched to Latif. Applicants must be able demonstrate required skills prior to arriving on set.
AIDYN GADLING ($100)
Aidyn Gadling is an active and fit female news reporter with cable 90 news. The role is open to all ethnicities. The role requires being able to read 1.75 pages of script as if from a teleprompter in front of a news camera.
